About

Why GhostRate exists

GhostRate was created to bring more transparency to hiring.

Candidates invest time, preparation, and energy into job applications and interviews. Too often, they receive little communication, delayed updates, or no response at all.

Where it started

The platform grew out of a common frustration shared by many candidates: applying, interviewing, following up, and being left without clarity or closure.

Ghosting in hiring is not just frustrating. It makes the process less transparent, less respectful, and harder to understand.

The problem

Hiring experiences are often invisible outside of private conversations. Candidates may know what happened to them, but there is rarely a clear way to see broader patterns across companies.

As a result, applicants often go into hiring processes with very little visibility into communication quality, response patterns, or overall candidate experience.

What GhostRate does

GhostRate gives candidates a way to share anonymous hiring experiences and helps turn those experiences into structured, aggregated insights.

The platform focuses on hiring transparency: response patterns, communication gaps, timelines, and candidate-reported outcomes.

Our approach

GhostRate is not built to target or attack companies.

Its purpose is to make hiring behavior more visible through anonymous and aggregated reports. The goal is to surface patterns, not amplify personal attacks or unverified claims.

The mission

Our mission is to encourage better hiring practices by making candidate experiences more visible and easier to understand.

By helping candidates and companies see patterns more clearly, GhostRate aims to support more transparent, respectful, and accountable recruiting.
